Ahecha, I See

Ahecha Logo Redesign

I’ve not been posting consistently in the past few months because a lot of my attention has been diverted into something else. After getting into photography I realized that it can significantly change the way you perceive the world, and it’s something that I want to share with others.

I’ve really gotten involved with the project called Ahecha, named after the Guarani word meaning “I See”. It’s a long running Peace Corps Paraguay project that was started back in 2007, and its purpose is to instill creativity in Paraguayan culture by teaching photography. I’m working with another volunteer to coordinate the program, and it’s been keeping us busy.

Promo video I put together showcasing 100 Great Photos by past Ahecha Students, Photos from the above clip are from the Ahecha National Photo Competition archive. Video can also be found on the CoCuMu Youtube
