This month I took two youth from my community to Paraguay Verde, an environmental summer camp hosted by Environmental Peace Corps Volunteers. For three days they learned about local environmental problems and ways they could help raise awareness.

On the last day of camp each youth made a plan of action to share what they learned. Oscar and Ramon from my community said they want to plant trees to help teach people about deforestation. I think they’re on the right track.
